REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS CLOSED/AT CAPACITY. 

 

Visitors will see treasures from the State Library collections that are not normally on public view, including some of the earliest published laws of Massachusetts, a realistic facsimile of Mayflower passenger William Bradford’s manuscript journal Of Plimoth Plantation, broadsides recruiting soldiers for the Civil War, photographs of African-American soldiers, a handwritten journal by a Civil War soldier from Massachusetts, early maps of Boston, and especially for spring, beautifully-illustrated books on natural history.

While the State Library is open to the public every weekday, this special event for ArtWeek will let visitors see materials that are normally not on public view.

Space is limited to 10 people with a free ticketed required reservation and security check to enter the building. Directions will be sent to registrants.
